CIBC Aerogold Visa Business Review

In this blog post, I will be doing a complete CIBC Aerogold Visa Business review to see who is best suited to get this credit card in Canada. One of the reasons I am doing a review of this card right now is because of the amazing deal where you can earn tons of Aeroplan miles with the annual fee waived for the first year.

I have no affiliation with CIBC or this credit card.

One of the biggest perks for the CIBC Aerogold Visa Business credit card is the fact that you can earn 35,000 Aeroplan miles as a signup bonus and there’s no annual fee for the first year. Basically, you get 20,000 Aeroplan miles after your first purchase. Next, you will get another 15,000 Aeroplan miles after spending $3000 within 4 months of card approval.

Other perks for this card include:

  • Earn 1.5 Aeroplan Miles for every $1 spent on airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, travel agencies and gas station
  • Earn $1 for all other purchases
  • Double the Aeroplan Miles earned when you present your Aeroplan Membership Card at over 150 Aeroplan brands nad 120 online retailers via the Aeroplan eStore.

Card eligibility

The biggest barrier to getting this credit card is you do need a business number to apply. If you don’t have a business number already, you can get one from a company called Ownr. I’ve personally never used the company since I have a business number already. However, I do know quite a few people that have used the company. If you use this referral link, you can get $50 off getting your business number.

Some people have reported that they’ve gotten this card without a business number. This is becoming less and less of a normal occurrence. Several years ago, it was easy to get this card without a business number. Nowadays, most people will need one unless you have a friend that works in CIBC who’s willing to pull some strings for you.

Conclusion

In my opinion, if you know you can hit the minimum spend requirements, then I think this is a must-get for Canadians who love travelling. 35,000 Aeroplan miles and no annual fee is a fantastic offer that cannot be missed!
