Ljubljana
My original goal when travelling through Ljubljana was just an overnight stay as I travel towards Bulgaria. What I love about collecting countries is you never know which countries will give you a pleasant surprise. And I’m happy to report that Slovenia is one of those countries.
My first good experience was how fantastic the customer service was in the hostel I stayed in. I used it as my home base as I explored the city streets of Ljubljana.
The city had the typical characteristics of any European old town which has its charms.
After spending all day walking around, I wrapped up my day by eating at a local pizzeria. My second great experience is fantastic customer service from the pizzeria. It was the perfect way to end my day in Ljubljana.
The next day, before I left to take the train to go to Serbia, I had breakfast near my hostel. And I’d say my third favourable experience while travelling in Ljubljana was how budget-friendly this city is for tourists. I think any first-time backpackers would benefit from travelling to this friendly and affordable travel destination.
Conclusion
After my trip to Ljubljana was over, I took the train, now going to Serbia. I would say my experience in this country was very pleasant. It’s now one of those places I wouldn’t rule out visiting again should I travel in the Balkan region of Europe in the future.
