In part 3 of this latest series, I will be talking about travellers that loves vegging out. Have you met these type of travellers or perhaps are you one? Do you even know what a vegging out traveller is like? Find out below!
The 11 types of travellers I met during my travels:
- Activity Addicts
- Vegging Out
- Status Seekers
- Identity Seeker
- Digital Nomads
- Country Collector
- Sex Tourist
What are vegging out travellers like?
As the description says, vegging out travellers love to lay down and do nothing during their travels. They typically go to destinations like Hawaii, Mexico, or other beach destinations and just lay on the beach, pool or their hotel room and do nothing.
Is there anything wrong with this kind of travelling? Definitely not, you need to travel the way you like. And if you’re the type that just needs to get away from where you live and do absolutely nothing but lay on the beach or your hotel room, then so be it!
When is it good and bad to be a vegging out traveller?
In my opinion, it’s good to be a vegging out traveller after finishing a huge project at work and you’re ready to go on vacation.
When I travel, I personally prefer to use this method for the first 2-3 days of my trip. It’s nice to just lay back in your hotel room, watch some TV and eat some food. Sometimes, it’s not good to always be on the go and it’s nice to just sit back and relax.
Of course, if you’re a true traveller, you wouldn’t be vegging out during the entire duration of your trip. This is bad because you are wasting the travel opportunity but it’s definitely good to sprinkle it in during your trip.
Places I would recommend for vegging out travellers to go to
If you are the type of traveller that loves to veg out on the beach, pool side or inside your hotel room then here are some destinations that I highly recommend you check out (from my own personal experience):
This is a very short article from this series because frankly…there’s not much to talk about when it comes to these type of travellers. They lay there and do nothing and that’s about it.
A very good question to ask; though, is do you like travelling with these type of people?
Because if I travelled with individuals who purely veg out, I think I will go crazy because I love going on adventures. As mentioned earlier, I only like the vegging out method during the first 2-3 days of my trip and possibly sprinkled in between the adventures I tend to partake in.
What’s your opinion on this type of traveller?
