Hilton HHonors Status Match

Hilton HHonors status match promotion is now available. Use your current elite status with competing hotel groups to earn elite status with Hilton.

If you don’t have elite status with another hotel group, here is a guide on how to get Marriott Hotel Gold Status. Here is another guide on how to get Best Western Platinum Status.

Here is a list of major hotel groups that Hilton will status match with:

  • Choice Privilege
  • Hyatt Gold Passport
  • IHG Rewards Club
  • Marriott Rewards
  • Starwood Preferred Guest

Hilton will also allow you to status match with other hotel groups such as Fairmont as long as you can prove that you have elite status.

In order to status match, you must provide the following information when filling out the form:

  • First and Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Hilton HHonors Account Number
  • Competing hotel loyalty program
  • An uploaded screenshot of elite status with a competing hotel loyalty program
  • An uploaded screenshot with proof that you stayed at the competing hotel group at least once in the last 12 months

Having status with Hilton will offer you many wonderful benefits. Here are some examples of perks you will receive:

  • Free room upgrade
  • Free breakfast
  • Free late check out
  • Earn extra points
  • Free snacks and water
  • Discounts

The items above as some examples of benefits you will receive if you have Hilton gold status.

From my personal experience, having that Gold Status really comes in handy. Having stayed at Marriott Hotel with gold status has given me free room upgrades, breakfast, lounge access, and late checkout. I can only imagine enjoying the same benefits when I stay at Hilton properties. Another benefit of having Gold Status with Hilton is that you can use it to get a similar level of status with other hotel groups. This means for the next several years, when you stay at a popular hotel group, you will reap the benefits of having elite status.

I will definitely signup for Hilton status and will post my findings in a future blog post.
