TD Aeroplan Infinite VISA is having a promotion right now where you can earn 30,000 Aeroplan points.

If you plan on traveling the world, this card will bring you one step closer to saving tons of money on your flight.

How to earn 30,000 Aeroplan points with the TD Aeroplan Infinite VISA:

  1. Earn 15,000 points after your first purchase.
  2. Earn an additional 10,000 points if you keep your account open for at least 90 days after account approval.
  3. Earn 5,000 points when you add a pre-authorized user to the account by May 27 (user must call to activate their card)

Upon meeting the three requirements above, you will enjoy your 30,000 Aeroplan points.

Other perks that come with the card includes:

  • Earning 1.5x the points for every purchase towards gas, groceries, drugstore, and Air Canada purchases.
  • Earning 2x the points for every purchase through the Aeroplan eStore or Aeroplan partner brands
  • Earning 1x the points for every purchase elsewhere.
  • First year annual fee of $120 will be waived.

Requirements for credit card approval:

  • You must earn $60,000 per in annual personal income or $100,000 in annual household income.
  • You must be a Canadian citizen.

If you don’t meet the requirements for the TD Aeroplan Infinite VISA, you can instead get the TD Aeroplan Platinum VISA.

I personally do not make $60,000 per year and instead went for the TD Aeroplan Platinum VISA.

The TD Aeroplan Platinum VISA will give you a decent 20,000 welcome bonus points after meeting the following requirements:

  1. Earn 10,000 points after your first purchase.
  2. Earn 5,000 points after you keep your account open for 90 days.
  3. Earn 5,000 points when you add a pre-authorized user to the account by May 27 (user must call to activate their card)

Other perks that come with the card includes:

  • Earning 1x the points for every purchase towards gas, groceries, drugstore, and Air Canada purchases.
  • Earning 2x the points for every purchase through the Aeroplan eStore or Aeroplan partner brands
  • Earning 1x the points for every purchase elsewhere.
  • First year annual fee of $89 will be waived.

The only requirement to be eligible for the card is to be a Canadian citizen.

From my opinion, these TD Aeroplan cards are quite good. The only thing I don’t like is how TD bank is making you jump through so many hoops to earn the points. You can tell that their goal is to make it such a hassle to get the points that you wouldn’t want to cancel it. Obviously, if it’s a good card, there’s no reason to cancel it.

From my own personal experience, I find the CIBC Aerogold VISA easier to use and is my go to card when it comes to making any purchases that doesn’t accept my AMEX card. But, if your goal is to maximize the points you earn when buying groceries, then the TD Aeroplan VISA is definitely the best card for you.
